Senior quarterback Kameron Smith will sign his national letter-of-intent with the Naval Academy on February 7th. The Greater Neuse River offensive player of the year with 1,898 yards passing and 571 rushing, Smith guided the Trojans to a 12-1 record in 2007, advancing to the second round of the NCHSSA 4AA play-offs after spending most of the year near the top of the state 4A rankings. He will join former Trojan football teammate Trey Grissom at Annapolis next fall. The Midshipman were 8-5 this season and earned a Poinsetta Bowl appearance. Their season included a historic 46-44 triple overtime win at Notre Dame. Kameron is the son of Joyce and Garry Smith. Congratulations to Kameron for continuing the Garner Winning Tradition!!
Senior Tony Morgan has committed to Fork Union Military Academy. FUMA lists among its alumni 2008 Super Bowl
participant Plaxico Burress and Vinny Testaverde. Tony was named to the 2007 All-GNRC and WRAL All-Triangle teams. Congratulations to Tony for continuing the Garner Winning Tradition!!
