Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic Offers Fall Sports Injury Clinic

Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic (ROC) is offering a weekly Fall Sports Injury Clinic on Saturdays to encourage all fall athletes to address early signs of injuries with appropriate medical intervention. The clinics will be held Saturdays - August 23rd through November 15th (No appointment needed)

If not taken seriously, swollen knees, shoulder pain and other ailments can become chronic problems. Unfortunately, many athletes elect to continue their participation in a sport without proper evaluation. The Saturday clinics begin on August 23rd, and continue through November 15th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Walk-ins welcome - No appointment necessary.

ROC physicians are donating their time to offer this important service. On-site X-Rays will be available if needed. Sports medicine surgeons, nurses, and physical therapists will staff the clinics and assist with athlete evaluations. Middle school and high school athletes should be accompanied by a parent or adult who is authorized to provide consent for services. No insurance is required for this initial examination.

“We see far too many injuries that go undiagnosed or untreated. Many athletes can prevent chronic injuries and avoid long-term rehabilitation if they take care of things early on.” said Dr. Lyman Smith. “All in all, our goal is to get them back on track and back in the game!”

The clinic runs weekly on Saturday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am August 23rd through November 15th at 3515 Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh. For additional information, contact Greg Saxton or (919) 863-6806. A $20 processing fee applies.
