Garner used a 20-2 fourth quarter spurt to turn an eight point lead into a 26 point, 70-44 road victory on Tuesday night at Sasser Gymnasium over East Wake.

The Trojans (6-1, 1-0) led 34-25 at the break after leading by as many 16 in the opening half. The men of Troy were paced in the opening half by Demarcus Sanford who scored 10 of his 15 points over the first 16 minutes.

East Wake (1-8, 0-2) cut the nine point deficit to single digits on several occasions in the third stanza as Quincy Jackson caught fire for the Warriors pouring in 11 of his game-high 17 points in the third to pull East Wake to within eight going into the final eight minutes of play.

However, the Warriors would get no closer as the men of Troy began to pull away in the fourth thanks to a career high 13 points from Patrick Henneghan as the Trojans coasted to a 70-44 win to open the conference season.
