Garner hits the road to take on Cleveland

The Garner Trojans (1-0) will hit the road for the first time in this young 2013 season as they head to Cleveland High School to take on the Rams (0-1). Top-ranked Trojans down Middle Creek AGAIN 21-16

Nyheim Hines scores 3 TD's including a 93-yard kick return and the Thurman Leach era opens with the top-ranked Trojans 21-16 win over #4 Middle Creek. Hines scores on runs of 5 & 11 yards, piling up 85 yards rushing adding 47 receiving. Brighton Hudson passes for 141 yards for Garner (1-0) Julius Barnes leads the Trojans with 55 yards receiving on two catches.

Trojan defense is keyed by a key fumble recovery by Markus Mosley on a Mustang fourth and goal from the one with just 0:58 left to preserve the win. Aaron SmithGreg Wells fumble recoveries were key to the Trojan win, their 10th in 11 games against the cross town rivals.

Garner travels to Cleveland (0-1) in week two, 7PM kickoff.
